Can we praise God through mental health, through miscarriages, through cancer? Do we praise Him through lost jobs, and broken relationships? The Bible is clear that we must. With love and purpose we grow every day, no matter the circumstance.

...because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassion never fails. They are new every morning, great is Thy faithfulness.
— Lamentations 3:23 (NIV)

God has a reason for everything that happens to us. Sometimes we feel forsaken, and that we are being given more than we can handle. We trust that God’s love will remain, and that we can praise His name through it all. This comfort does not take away the tears; it gives purpose and direction but does not remove circumstance.

we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us.
— Romans 5: 3-5 (NIV)

Canadian Reformed Churches have consistories of elders and deacons, support groups and volunteer systems to assist those in need. We see that suffering is present.

Zion Family Care is calling you to recognize that the need can occasionally go beyond what volunteer supports provide. This program is in place to compliment the already existing systems that the communion of saints have implemented. It is designed to work with the churches and families in the Hamilton region to make sure that all of God's covenant children are cared for. We are strong together, in Christ.

You can’t help everybody, but you can help a few. It’s that few that God will hold us accountable for.
